About Our Farm
|The Camelidynamics Experimental Herd
Our small group of camelids earn their keep by being very helpful in refining both Marty's ideas about training and handling, as well as the products that we offer for sale. These critters have happily appeared in numerous magazine articles that Marty has written over the years, and continue to bring us much daily joy and amusement.
When we went looking for female alpacas to add to our herd, we had several characteristics in mind that we felt were crucial: They had to be reproductively robust; have good mothering instincts with lots of milk; be conformationally correct with no genetic disorders in their pedigree; and be easy to handle. After looking at dozens of girls in our area, we brought home several with very "professional" qualifications. We proudly offer their offspring for sale.
First, an answer to the most important question any buyer of camelids can ask: What kind of support can you expect after the sale? First and foremost, our customers become our friends! We are in this business for the long haul, and work hard to establish long-lasting relationships that we can be proud of. When you purchase our animals, you not only get Marty's 25 plus years of experience in the business, but also access to top-notch training and handling instruction.
In addition to a reproductive guarantee for the animals, our customers receive access to Marty's world famous training regimen, starting with one voucher for Marty's "Basics" training seminar; a two-day event designed to introduce students to Marty's training and handling methods and build confidence in their Camelid handling abilities.
After that, our customers can look forward to free enrollment in our four-day "Advanced Training" seminar; an intensive hands-on event, usually attended by Camelid enthusiasts from around the world, that will help you refine your handling skills and expose you to additional useful techniques that will serve to make your relationship with you new companions a satisfying and profitable one.
Additionally, we will help you with breeding decisions, farm layout, barn design, and other husbandry issues that we have extensive experience with. Finally, when it comes time to sell your offspring, you can tap into our extensive network of practitioners and students to find, not just a suitable home for your critters, but one that is likewise committed to Marty's principles of handling the animals with kindness and respect.
